- The situation in Asia-Pacific is exacerbated by differing standards, levels of technology, laws and practices.
- The primary role for the Centre is therefore to network disparate digital content and content protection knowledge in the region and to disseminate this information to the broadest possible audience.
- The CCP will serve as a unique organization for the aggregation and dissemination of information that enhances the legitimate distribution models and usage offers of digital content in the Asia-Pacific region through the use of technological protection measures.
- The CCP has a mandate to be a neutral forum for exchange of ideas and innovations regarding content protection for a broad range of stakeholders in the content industry.
- The CCP aims to be representative of all stakeholders, and also a first-class institution that runs on par with other leading industry associations in the Asia-Pacific region.
