Your use of this site is governed by the following set of Terms and Conditions. You must read and agree to these rules before proceeding use our website; or to upload any documents or information on our website. Where used, the words “we” and “us” refers to the Centre for Content Protection and the administrators that run its website.

A. Registration

1. Registration is required before you may submit material to us for posting on the website, which is available for access by the public. You are allowed one account, of which the username cannot be changed at a later date. Registrations using [to designate e.g. Hotmail, Yahoo etc.] email accounts, amongst other free providers, are not permitted.

2. If you are under the age of [state age] or have been previously banned from this site, you are not permitted to register.

3. Use of anonymous proxies to access this website is not permitted. If you are found to be using an anonymous proxy, you will be permanently banned from accessing the site.

4. By registering at and using this website, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

B. Illegal or Inappropriate Material

5. In order to maintain an environment that encourages debate and discussion, illegal or otherwise inappropriate material may not be posted, including (but not limited to) :

a. defamatory, inflammatory or otherwise offensive comments;
b. obscene or pornographic material, or links to other sites that contain or promote obscene or pornographic material;
c. discussion of how to circumvent copyright law, including (but not limited to) mod chips, peer-to-peer software, creation of back-ups, or links to other sites that contain or promote unlicensed software;
d. commercial advertising, or the promotion of your own site;
e. information that may invade the personal privacy of any other person;
f. promotion of pyramid or referral schemes;
g. images that are not hosted on your own webspace without the explicit permission of the webspace owner;
h. misrepresentations of fact or any other false information;
i. any material that would be contrary to law.

6. You undertake to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any loss, damage, cost, liability or expense (including reasonable legal and professional fees) arising out of any illegality or alleged illegality. You shall promptly inform us of any such illegality or suspected or threatened illegality, upon becoming aware of the same.

C. Copyright

7. You warrant that you are the sole owner of the copyright in the material submitted to us, free from any claims or encumbrances. You further warrant that the said material is original and does not infringe the copyright of any person or organisation.

8. You consent to us printing, publishing, reproducing or using the whole or any part of material submitted by you, including but not limited to publishing the material on our website for the purposes of obtaining memberships or sponsorships from third parties.

9. You also consent to us publishing your logo (if applicable) on our website, which would serve as a hyperlink to your website (if applicable).

10. You undertake to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any loss, damage, cost, liability or expense (including reasonable legal and professional fees) arising out of any actual or alleged infringement of such copyright. You shall promptly inform us of any such infringement or suspected or threatened infringement, upon becoming aware of the same.

11. We shall ensure, to our best efforts, that all copies of the material printed, published, reproduced or used by us shall be attributed to you.

12. You acknowledge that your company logo and public company information may be used on our website to indicate membership.

D. Complaints

13. If you disagree with any decision we make in enforcing these Terms and Conditions, contact us privately and we will consider your complaint. You may not publicly question any decision we have made on the website. E. Your Privacy

14. We will not sell or pass on your private details that we hold about you. All details held are required for the day-to-day running of the website. However, we reserve the right to reveal your identity in the event of any legal action or threat thereof arising from any message posted by you.

F. Disclaimer

15. We shall not be held responsible for any false, offensive or otherwise unacceptable content on this website. Breaches of our Terms and Conditions will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and may result in formal warnings, suspensions and/or permanent bans. In extreme cases we will not hesitate to report members to their Internet Service Provider or to take legal action.

16. We reserve the right to make amendments to these Terms and Conditions at any time. All changes will be notified to members via an announcement visible in all forums, or if only relevant to a single forum, within a “sticky” thread within that forum.

G. Governing Law

17. These Terms and Conditions shall be read and construed according to the laws of the Republic of Singapore and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.

18. If any provision of this Agreement is held by a court to be unlawful, invalid, unenforceable or in conflict with any rule of law, statute or regulation, the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be thereby affected.
